Proof for what? That they saw something? Which is proof that they ... what... have eyes?

UFO means that you do not know what it is. It doesn't mean that it is alien. Just that you do not know how to ID it and the people who could tell you what it is are not talking to you. Or they have confirmed that it was indeed a weather balloon... and you went 'but I don't like facts'.

@EnglishMike Did I make that claim? Nope. I said high probability. And yes, maybe we are unique. Even in a place old as dirt we might be the one exeption. That does not make us special in a sense that would allow us to lord it over anyone that might come later... it just means life here was first. Someday somewhere will be last. All of it, first, middle, last are precious.

You mean like others have? He would not be the first one.... yet he didn't. He is saying someone told him that evidence exists - that does not mean he has seen the evidence. But here he is making claims about it existing and about its content.

That is a very good question! UFO sightings are very much a cultural US phenomenon. 'Belivers' in Germany do not quote the Bundeswehr when they try talking ylur ear off. Or some dude in a field in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern or Schleswig-Holstein.
