  1. Wait... erasing it is standard. Its something flightdecks around the world have raised as a concern. It is proof of less regulations not working. The voice recorder should not be deleted inside of 24h, in my opinion. But the loss of data is not surprising. It most definitly is not due to the pilot. Timmy Poole is stupid. Oh, and the flightdeck is two people who check on each other constantly.

  3. Yep. The airline orders the plane with a certain configuration of seats (as in: we want 120 seats not 100 because this fits our product better). They do not touch the structure of the plane.
