  1. A person that grew up to defend assault on children having been assaulted themselves did not turn out well - they turned out to be a person that deals with having been hit by siding with their abuser. It is a coping mechanism; one that they should bring up in therapy.

And even if it did say what you think it says: why the eff would it matter?
