@ChickoRollin but she was aware that she was not imitating life but was refering to Schäferdichtung/Hirtendichtung and the Art that sprang from it. She was referencing art - and everyone around her knew it.

@ChickoRollin the third estate knew 0 about her. They very likely knew next to nothing about the trianon's existence. Whatever the third estate thought about her was solely based on propaganda by people who used the 'foreig wife' to get at the king. The trianon was entirely private and not something she flaunted.
