Wet, dirty hems are not comfy and look unseemly - so even if you could afford someone dedicated to cleaning the bottoms of your clothes why would you risk the hems dragging through horseshit, horsepiss, diverse kinds of sludge? Imagine entering your home or that of another member of society and bringing with you not only the stench of manure but the manure itself. And cleaning clothes, even when done by a skilled maid, quickly reaches the point where the sh!t simply will not move anymore. I have a distinct feeling that that story is not based in fact.

@paulashe61 you sober?
30
@Estertje93 if you feel like it?
27
Do brooms come with cup-holders? Wait... business-idea!!!!
24
@natasha675 just means that you are well grounded.
22
@razrv3lc Apparently some are doing it. Patients end up having to wear structural support that keeps them from upright. A 'model' in Germany had it done according to the TV-station that followed her during the procedure and its aftermath. It looked like she was in constant pain.
18
@MrHws5mp of course you can!
18
@stevezytveld6585 and now I am hungry... at 23.15... sigh.
13
No no no! Very useful musings!
11
@szlendak1368 she meant: I might stop doing it/doing it this way because it is difficult. The joke is that she used the very modern word 'Nope' and that she is making fun of herself for doing something so challenging 🤗

@sarahbb7227 Do you have a Lidl or Aldi close by? They both sell dirt cheap Vodka.
9
@ayumuchorizo4486 adding on to the other comment: it's a trope. Fainting is a bit like swashbuckling in fiction. You read about it all the time but it hardly ever happens in reality.
9
@Jessica Holt use hairpieces, floof as the absolute god-empress that I am sure you are! Let the hair flopp down the sides of your head!
6
@sarahe.1159 I do understand why people might think that that would make sense... but the assumption is not based in reality. Why a historian should think that... who knows. Hope you.are having a lovely weekend!

@peaceblossom8 😄🧡

@xPhantomxify lord... are you okay? You do sound unwell. Wait, let me fetch my smelling salts.
5
@pumpkinsproutarts I wish I could see! Maybe you are going to ser a new trend?

@jaredphillips9285 wool mixed with linen! Or silk!
5
@pumpkinsproutarts Yes! You are going to look so badass!
4
@pumpkinsproutarts thanks! That would be lovely! No pressure!
4
@chriskershaw7968 if you think you can pull of mansplaining in the comment section of a BB video you need to have a long hard think.
4
@brendasummers6499 Nope. Breathable fabric.
4
@winkmink7709 AI is that dumb.
4
Team up with others! Strength in numbers! I so wish you could do this safely!

3
@janet6114 that's when mass manufacturing started out.
3
My mum did that after radiation therapy... she loved it! Have a lovely weekend!
3
So happy for you!
3
Good luck with your plans!
2
Yes! They did! You can find lovely examples of matinees in: Wedding Fadhiond 1862-1912 by JoAnn Olian.
2
Roughly at 25 minutes you see her pushing a metal bit in... I think it's to stabilise the shape?
2
🇫🇮🍸
2
Eh? She discussed mass production right in the begining!
2
Okay, edgelord.
2
@salepien can you get ones made with Kevlar? You still have the toe-problem (soooooo annoying... don't miss that) but they are so much lighter.
1
She would have to pay you attention before being able to be even remotely bothered by your remark... not going to happen.
1
Do it! 😍
1
Split undies or no undies. Lift your leg, move chamber pot between leg. Pee. Or squat.
1
Will you let us known should you give it a try?
1
@xPhantomxify oh, my...

Good luck!

My mum had to do that after raidotherapy - because she could not find a cotton bra that would fit her post-surgery breasts. She wore a lovely shirt under her bras that was supersoft and kept her warm while she got better.
1
@StephanieLuff Good luck! My mummy's breast were very uneven after surgery so underwired bras were the devil. She was a bit worried that people would notice that she had 'flipped' the order but no one ever did! Hope this will work for you!
1
Must be awfully lonely in your reality inhabitet by one...

1
@SongbirdGaming Yep.
1
I have photos from my mum's side of the family that were taken at around 1914 (some must be even earlier) during their summer vacation at the beach. Eye opening!
1
Uuuuuhhh.... no?! Sewing professionaly most certainly was not a 'female' thing.
1
We would round that up to 167cm though...
1
@alenazwiep2996 I don't have to do either the up- nor the down-rounding... but for non fidly stuff I probably would. Still don't see how operating in inches is easier - but to each their own.
1
I keep thinking 'look at the light! Will you look at that light! Kissing her hair and skin... so beautiful'.
1
Try and source them in Germany... some company might have stock left over from Oktoberfest-season... They will probably look off-ish if you know what to look for. But on stage? Should work!
1
You don't get 'round much, do you?
1
@aSSGoblin1488 you are clearly unwell. How do you know everyone on OF is a sexworker? On there often?
