The fact that he was impaired due to a fever allowed him to mentally distance himself from someone who was impaired due to a illness they inherited.

  2. Klandance is the kind of person who, should they ever need to use a wheelchsir themselves due to an accident, would think herself set appart from her 'non-visible disability rule. Just like Goebbels she would think that exeptions should be made because she is the right kind of cripple (and I am using that word on purpose here). Gobbels found his home in the Nazi party because he was impaired due to a fever and thought himself different from people who he assumed were impaired due to inhereted impairments. Klandance should of course remember that old age might require her to use a mobility aid - and her kids might follow in her footsteps and refuse to expose their grandkids to the sight of her frail body.
