The amount of people who do not understand what consent is showing up in this comment section... folks, do you understand that having multiple partners is not the same as violating the consent of multiple partners? Him being 'upfront' about having sex with more than one person does not invalidate the account pf someone who says that he violated them - it simply means that he told stories about sleeping around (a ethicaly neutral behaviour) while at the same time ignoring when people told him NO!

In a place where the police is known to mistreat and ignore people who report assaults (and the officers taking the report of the assault mught even be behind that desk because he is being investigates for assault themselves) calling a paper is a valid act. It is then up to the paper to evaluate the information given and to proceed cautiously. There is more than one person who has come forward with reports of Brand ignoring consent.
