  1. You need to understand that Claudia Roth, the Staatsministerin in question, is everything authoritarians hate. She is very outspoken and known to stand with minorities. She is an anti-fascist who works hard to support queer people and migrants.

  4. They are trying to prepare the ground for sure. But as always parts of the AfD are explicitly on Putin's side while the other is not. Every time someone feom the AfD voices pro-Putin sentimens they lose even more of the little relevant they have.

  5. I think explaining the concept of Beauftragte or Staatsministerin is a bit complex for an audience that is not familiar with the german goverment structures. But they could have pointed out that Claudia is not who the russian propagandist claims she is.
