As a german: you ger asked if we still have a Kaiser, get told we still have a Kaiser, get asked if our houses have electricity (most lines run underground), bißchen at for speaking german (and then complimented on your good german when you switch to english- because they think you speak german as a second language), etc pp.. Jesus...sooooo many typos and spell-check accidents in this one... maybe I should try that sleep thing all the hip kids are talking about?

  6.  @ulfer_two_eyes5996  it is you education system, american exeptionalism, and an ingrained believe that knowledge has no worth unless your can turn it into hard cash. I once met a lady from the US who asked me if people in London do speak english... and then went on to complain that peopl in Germany dared to speak german. Considering that Germany has a high level of people who speak basic english she must have pissed of quite a lot of those she met. Hope you are having a lovely weekend! I am off to hand-cranck my Internet, because, you know, Europe!
