You mean the cards will get harder to forge. Just as passports, driver's licences, company Ids, money.

@johndavidwolf4239 very likely. Or some other feature. They will most likely mix them up frequently to make forgeries harder. That said: I come from a country that has had paper booklets to track vaccinations for decades to make life easier on everyone (we travel a lot too as a nation... so showing proof of vaccination is nothing new to us). The first time we started to discuss switching to a digital version and/or a plastic-chip-combo is now. All those years and and the anti-vaxxers have finaly gone so absolutely bonkers that we have to rewamp a system that worked because people agreed that forging proof of vaccination was something you simply didn't do.
