No, of course not. It goes against ultra-conservativ catholisism... which is not the same.

You are in the last of days because consenting adults are celebrating their commitment to each other? What?
4
@shadouxg7150 it doesn't. You think it does because the translations do tell you it does. The text that is being translated doesn't support the claim. The translations are at best sloopy, at worst intentionaly corrupted.
4
@BoostedS650 who's going against god's word? You mean god who is love? That one?
3
@lunari64_ pleasure. Wait till they find out about the research that had been done about the bible quote they like to parade around to support their 'argument'. Or that difderent translations treat that quote very very differently from the one translation they themselves know.
3
@themattaos1120 oh my...
2
@montaser9985 I have. And I even understand how to read scholarly text that provide context and information on the translations themselves. Funny how that works...
2
What doesn't? Blessing to people who are commited to each other?
2
@shayne-1880 or a deacon.
2
@thisladyisstrange6243 sweetpea... my family had been protestant since the Reformation. It's been a while.
1
@reiappreciator957 and here we are... didn't take you long to show how antisemitic you are. By the way I am evangelisch, Mate.
1
When?
1
@luigimini2124 but they have no problem when motorbikes are blessed. 😒
1
Big words... try and look them up before you use them.
1
@montaser9985 wrong.
1
@yurichtube1162 catholic does not equal Christian and vice versa.
1
@chrissy8311 hopefully. But catholicism still does not equal christianity. We've been there, haven't we? Do I need to borrow a hammer and get arrested nailing a certain list to a certain door? Oh, and the orthodox churches say Hi!
1
@chrissy8311 sounds like you failed to grasp what equal means.
1
@mike_404 it is not. It is a part of christianity... but it is not christianity. Now... where is my hammer? And is Wittenberg under lock-down? Does anyone have the phobe numer of Augoustinos Lambardakis? Johannes Heikel? Julius Hanna Aydin? They sure would be thrilled to hear your thoughts on this.
1
Eh? Which one?
1
That is a deacon? Your point?
1
Nothing. The bible says nothing about it. People whi claim otherwise can't back their claims up.
1
@gofish7388 you mean the bible that is so old that we do no longer know the meaning of at least one word in this quote? That bible? The bible that changes the gender of the object in one of the sentences in that quote? The bible that is open to several usages of words in that quote? The bible that makes it very clear that god is love? The bible that speaks of Jesus being full of compassion and understanding? That one?
1
@jl-tart7064 ever heared of consent? And yes, if it is love everything is okay. That is kind of the point, isn't it? Mind that only applies if you love not when you claim to love... as in love the neighbours. Remember that one?
1
Your spell check changed amazing to outrageous.
1
@dare_challenge_a_god1536 Mate, with all my heart.
1
@montaser9985 Nope. It isn't. There is nothing in the bible about this. People who claim otherwise failed in their studies.
1
@jl-tart7064 it is not in the bible. It's in some translations... funny how not every translation handles the text the same across languages and time...
1
@brandonrobertson6327 we know why you need to focus on King James...
1
@jl-tart7064 Eh? Greek had extremly ritualised ebebophilia... sort of. For the rest... you do know that people can read sources, right?
1
@jl-tart7064 do you now?
1
She is a deacon.
