Societies do not work solely on people volunteering to pay for infrastructure and the basic needs of those in despair. There is always someone ready to claim that you are not worthy of charity... not at all or only if you are ready to 'mend your ways'. Taxes are levied so that societies have money to run themselves independet from some tit who thinks the undeserving poor should be put into workhouses (or worse).

In that case a comedian was punched by the friend of a rapper who he had called out for sexualy assaulting a woman. The comedian was sitting in his chair watching a boxing match when the assaulter walked up and punched him so hard his hearing has still not recovered. Should security habe expected something like that to happen? Probably not. People don't just do shit like that.
