@candle86 And? It has to negotiate trade deals with the US and everyone else... just for starters. It has to create new legal and organisational frame works and has to get other countries to accept those. It will also have to import while exporting - and keep its fingers crossed that its goods are still in demand for a price that customers are willing to pay. All of that would take time, money, expertise, and manpower.

@candle86 what???

@jwl1278 not on the level they would have to were they not part of the US anymore. Texas literally cannot enter into trade agreements internationaly as part of the US. They would have to negotiate every single one from scratch.

@griftinggamer the empire that does not exist anymore? That one?

@kakapofan6542 you are so used to not be confronted with what it means to be a third-party country you lost track think everything would work out okay just because it has worked out previously.

@talonsneststudio you think what now?

@holyorders-w5r No, that's not an opinion - that's fact.

The EU as it was intended? And that means what? I do have a distinct feeling that you have rather uninformed ideas on how the EU became what it is now. Stop reading rightwing propaganda.

@talonsneststudio So Texas would go to War with the US? And NATO? Because an armed conflict with the US would trigger casus foederis.

@vikt uuuhhh... that referendum that was supposed to be non- binding and only advisory? That one? And you seem to struggle with the legal construct that is the EU.
