@GoldLove21 schools with several hundred pupils work in other countries. The danger is not in numbers. The danger is firmly routed in american gun culture, lack of social services, underfunded schools, the stigma of mental ilnesses in american culture etc pp

@robertsaget9697 the parents gave the gun to him as a xmas present. They didn't keep and store the gun. Keeping and storing a gun means not putting it in an unlocked drawer.

@brennanhearn6342 while there are previous statements that indicate it was not. Even if it was locked... guns should not be kept in drawers even if locked. Gun safe or a crush proof hard case. Frequent checks. Ammo stored away from gun.

@brennanhearn6342 it is far more likely that you are killed by a person in your household with that same gun by accident. Or if you are a woman by a man in your household. Your scenario doesn't even match most home Intrusions either.
