  7. Isn't it that they can interrogate you all they want as long as you are a wittness... but have to inform you of your right to legal representation pnce they charge you. And once they have done so you have to invoke your right to a lawyer (with some police forces/legal scholars insisting that you do so in a certain way or it wont 'count')?

  8. And it 'helps' police when forcing confessions. Not the kind of help law enforcment should need nor want.
