  1. It is very likely that the teachers bought those books with their own money or they were donated. So hopefully they will not be physically destroyed. The whole thing is deeply upsetting.

  3.  @alanparedes2427  my friend just told me that her niece is teaching english in Ohio. There is no curriculum and she is a physical therapist.

  5.  @alanparedes2427  my friend's niece is extremly smart and dedicated - so hopefully she will be okay. And I really do not minds people teaching who aren't trained formaly (heck, I would do that here in my european home country) but they should have had some form of training at least - there is none in her case. I've read that Texas (if I do remember correctly) employs people based on the fact that their spouse used to work for the military. The wife of a retired soldier is allowed to teach having observed other teachers for a few hours. Her former job? Waitress.

  10. They will replace teachers with people that do not have an educational background. They are already doing that.
