@CharlieTWilbury the point is: her family is filthy rich. Matt does not have the amount of money to pay her enough for a ruined reputation. Who is going to invite her for lunch if the poop does truly hit the Fan? Which club will admit her? Who's family will welcome her once he his in prison? I have no idea why she staying with him - but he does not have enough to safe her social life.

@sarahdy496 but they do tend to blame the woman when her partner shows 'deviant' sexual behaviour. Besides they need to be seen distancing themselves from her to make sure their men are not connected to Gaetz in the mind of the public.
