  1. That's how groomers operate. And he is one. They not only groom their victims but their character witnesses too. He knows exactly how to not cross lines with people he thinks he will need to protect him... and apparently it worked not just with her.

  2. Groomers not only groom their victims but they do groom their character witnesses too. His assistant is proof of that. He behaved unbecoming as a boss but knew how to not cross the lines his assistant was accustomed to (eff american work culture by the way). She literally is sitting there saying that he knew hiw to control himself and how to protect his interests and that she therefore expected him to be able and willing to to it in other contexts. To him that means she is a character witnesses for the defense - everyone who knows anything about abusers understands it verifies he is an abuser and this was not a one off thing.

  4. The assistant has normalised abuse in the workplace - as have a lot of americans. I have a feeling she is going to go through a hell of a deconstruction process soon.

  5. One year. While he just started the grooming. As someone pointed out that is the honey moon phase of grooming. That means he was extremly careful then.
