  1. Nor do they understand how the language used to write said constitution at that point in time worked. Militia has a very specific meaning (cultural and legally) that does not match their understanding.

  5.  @MFPhoto1  not even a citizen's army but privately funded groups that the state then used... that is groups that only existed because an aristocrat (with the funds and resources) raised a militia. People who think that militias were not meant to prop up the system (wether pre- or post-revolution) are mistaken.
