@@tennishackyou just repeated a talking point born from the racists idea of semitic as a ethnic group. The fact that you muddled te waters by using 'semitic languages' starting your post does not change that. You are mixing a deeply antisemitic concept with linguistic insight in a language group.

@ncwordman That account did teach you a half truth. I can't say if they did it out of ignorance or out of malice but he did. Starting of with 'oh, semitic languages' and then jumping to 'therefore all of these people are semitic' mean he is repeating the (german) fathers of antisemitism. You could and should look up the history of the concepts of semitic and antisemitic... and probably keep a bucket nearby.
