  2.  @str8ballinSA  No. The Gestapo was not effective and the people in charge were not competent. They hurt and destroyed but like most fascist organisations they were not effective. The people in charge of the Gestapo and SS were far from competent - they just had (and keep having) good PR. Fascist organisations need people to fail so that others can rise. When eating up your own base is at the very core of your idelology and organisation you are not effective. You are occupied trying to set others up for failure to save yourself.
