@andrejlvov3236 Yes written is a misnomer, it was dictated to scribes, one of whom suggested alterations to make it sound better, when mohammed accepted his suggestions he realised he was not getting it direct from allah but just making it up on the fly 🪰! The scribe became a disbeliever and ran away, mohammed subsequently wanted to have him killed! The sheep 'accidently' ate the verses about women having to suckle adult men. (Narrated Aisha). There were so many versions some remembered by rote, some written on scraps of parchment and even stones, this led to lots of conflicting verses and texts, the "righteous caliph" whose name escapes me had one new version compiled from the collection of dross into the definitive garbage version and had all other versions destroyed as you say some time after the monsters death.
