  5. BROWNING did not design the gun. His Prototype was different. Saive deserves Credit.

  6. I should rephrase that. The whole tilting locking barrel system is his idea. But they got rid of the whole link system of the 1911.

  9.  @TitusCastiglione1503  it doesn't use any of the his prototype idea. The only thing Browning about the Browning Hi-Power is the concept of using a tilting Barrel. It doesn't even use the same system as the 1911. Nor does it use a striker. Saive deserves the design credit.
