  2.  @cobbleturd6978  bigger is not better. The larger the gun size and caliber; you get diminishing returns in performance. The shells are bigger, heavier and harder to reload quickly.

  3. I believe you're referring to the so-called ,"inactive ready reserve?" After finishing active service you were held on the books subject to recall for a number of years in an a no drill, unpaid status.
