@unlimitedx53 The technology and tactics were being written on the fly at that stage. No conversion beats a ship purpose built from the start. And all lacked the flexibility to expand and change as planes changed in size and weight.

@99IronDuke You can't guess the leadership changes in the UK over that time. Nor make the case for massive defense spending as Neutral. The War scarred the World to disarm. Not expand weapons making or buying.
