  1.  @shawnr771  To clarify things.... there were at least 5 mini subs. The Ward sank one. Another was beached. At least one did reach inside the harbor and fire weapons.

  2.  @TheHistoryGuyChannel  Good reply.... In my experience, only those with a agenda bring up the Liberty. Both sides have long since moved on and consider things settled.

  3. Not training. Aircraft ferry mission. Both Lexington and Enterprise were sent to deliver Marine Corps aircraft to Midway and Wake Island. Both ships were returning to Pearl Harbor when the attack occurred on 7th. Enterprise actually lost several aircraft to Friendly Fire while trying to land in Hawaii.
