  4.  @Jay_Speed  General Motors for some reason generally kept their European and Australian operations sort of separate. As I think about it, only till a few years near the end did they tap into their Holden brand in Australia....

  5.  @Jay_Speed  I think one of the biggest mistakes GM may have made, was not importing Holden UTE's. The US market would have been perfect for a sport truck like that. Speaking of Opel? Didn't Cadillac have a Opel based model? The Catera from 96 to 2001 was based on the Opel Omega?
