@Florian00 Then where are car makers pushing it? They have dropped work on Hydrogen largely.

Not really. Emissions regs are going to make them museum pieces.

@donflamingo795 The point is emissions, not performance.
3
Wrong. When you can not register your car , is the point they die. The E.U. is already aiming that way.

@donflamingo795 Practicality is growing.

Well, China leads the 21st century then. And we become the World's cop and Entertainer.

The masses are not buying cars. They are taking Uber. And others are not driving at all. That is the industry problem. Younger people are not buying cars or trucks.

@colinhawks2469 When Ford drops car production and brings out a Electric Mustang, That is the sign things are dead in ICE technology.

Yeah, Nuclear power.

Samuel Carrington They are museum pieces for being obsolete. And if you can't take it on the road, it holds no value.
1
@giorgio2g No, not really. What value does it have if you can't drive it?

@lovepcgaming2335 State laws vary. PA has had emissions testing since 1984. 1996 and up cars have ODB2 computer systems to monitor engines. Pre 1975 cars Use leaded gas and lack catalytic converters and are exempt. Classic and Antique registration is different from regular drivers. Nobody collecting 1996 Honda Civics or Ford Taurus.

@binal-flecki2387 A full size car is not a RC-10....

@AdonnysPichardo Fuel powered cars get dumped after 100,000 miles. So what is the loss?
1
@bowez9 The Clock is not going back. The days of the V8 are ending.

@landau46t Coal plants are going offline.
1
@empyrealcultist1992 Avg. Car buyers lease or trade cars away in 5-10 years.
1
@empyrealcultist1992 Coal for power is dying. Natural gas plants have replaced coal.
1
@empyrealcultist1992 Coal is dying. Ask CSX and Norfolk Southern railroads. The coal trains supplying fuel are being replaced by Natural gas plants. China's economy will do the same due to bad air pollution.

@empyrealcultist1992 Car scrapyard are full of cars to be crushed.

That's not relevant. Gas and diesel production are being cut or outlawed by 2025. Support for those cars will fade away.
1
What part of nations regulating gas and diesel out of production in 20 years are you missing?
