@denelson83 Sea Water is corrosive to pipes. Would contaminate the Lake water. And pumping water uphill is hard. It's designed to use gravity fed from the lake to feed the locks.

@denelson83 no, I'm an American. But I followed the issue on some other channels.

🙄 All the King's horses and All the King's Men; could ever make this mess better. It is without a doubt, the most snake bit place in all of the Western Hemisphere. Everything that could go wrong has done so. You almost think God has a personal grudge against the people? But it is a prime example why the United States has a migration problem going on. The rest of Central America is going the way of Haiti. Venezuela is a basket case. Panama doesn't have enough water to run the canal anymore. If you want to stop the migration problem? We are going to have to start paying more attention to what's driving people out.

I honestly have missed a lifetime of this? This is a conflict that has really been out of my radar.

@markgriz that's not practical at all.
1
@MamboGimbobili building additional reservoirs doesn't do anything when there's not rain.
1
@denelson83 it's not simple. The water is not there.
1
@theosuellow651 I suggest you not try doing into engineering.
1
@KindGottes92 the problem is a drought.
1
@101spacecase short answer to your inquiry is no.
1
@theevermind that is not even in the ballpark of reasonable.
1
@nunya___ I love the thought process of backyard engineers. Sorry, but no.....
1
@nunya___ we are not building a water tower the size of a lake. You need the drought to end.
1
@CurseTheDarkness not going to happen.
1
@alexanderchapman8728 for the 5,000 time you're not pumping seawater into a freshwater lake.
1
@johnhorner5711 that's your brilliant deduction?
1
@junktrunk909 the obvious solution is rain.
1
@denelson83 if you're talking about long-term climate changes? Maybe? But we have cycles of rainy and dry periods. The whole El Nino and La Nina thing.
1
@alexanderchapman8728 why does everyone keep going in this piping direction? Canal is fed by gravity. The lake is above the sea level locks. The lake is fresh. You can't use salt water to do this. You cannot contaminate the lake ecosystem. Yet every fifth person keeps going down the same dead end?

@redpillcoach1855 Well.... there's a lack of both....🤔
1
@ZX1 Always a jerk or do you take classes for it?
