What's Going on With Shipping?

It's basically used in situations like this when you are going in Harbor. When i n Open Sea, they change fuels.

If you are referring back to the incident in Baltimore? THey called the bridge in time to stop traffic. Not in time for the work crew on the deck however.

@MikeHunt-fo3ow I just looked a little deeper into your question. It turns out the guy who found the Titanic; Bob Ballard. Discovered underwater vents are venting materials into the ocean where a lot of the salt comes from. Think small volcanoes.....

Happens in parking lots everyday. Why not at sea?

You want the tanks close to the engine room. You don't want an unnecessarily long piping system. And the entire forward section is dedicated to Cargo holds. So where do you plan to put them?
2
You are talking about an ocean that formed billions of years ago.
2
That makes no sense. Everything forward is Cargo space. There are cargo holds all the way to the bow. And for the most direct fuel delivery , you want the tanks closest to your engineering space.

@JayAdams-ml5jf Sorry, but I've already explained how that doesn't make sense. You are either taking up cargo space or going to face damage to the tanks trying to load cargo. And your increasing the length of distance of the fuel to the power plant.

What's the horn supposed to do? they already have them visually. the other ship cannot maneuver from anchor.
1
You want the tanks close to your main engineering space. All of the internal space forward is dedicated to Cargo.

It's likely all this coal is going to power plants in China.
1
@davidoldboy5425 the job is to move coal in the most efficient manner. Number two, is safe operation in an efficient manner. The location is best placed to do that.
1
@davidoldboy5425 news flash... not a gas tanker. And the only people playing around with TNT on a ship? Are probably ordering from the Acme catalog instead of Temu.
1
@davidoldboy5425 Well David, I think I got a pretty good handle on this. Feel free to send your ideas into your local Naval architect.

They don't need to go out on the Bridge wing. the ship is right in front of them.
1
The rest of the ship is cargo holds.
1
Where else are you proposing to put them? The rest of the ship is dedicated to cargo holds. It's also closest to the engine room.
1
@SteamCrane but, we have found that the ocean has underwater vents. These volcanoes are spewing out at the bottom of the ocean. An unlike the lakes, there's no where for ocean water to cycle.
