@whatchahoozie777 and that is the basic problem here. Live ammo should never have been on the set in the first place.

You're trying to apply range rules to a prop. You can't do an action film without pointing a prop at somebody.

@joecasella3063 Your a bit off base. Her hiring was due to her father's reputation.
2
@Jimmy McNabb his status as a star has nothing to do with this.
2
@newguy2794 that's not the responsibility of the actors period and never has been. Nobody is filming a war movie, like Saving Private Ryan and having every single actor responsible. The Armorer and stunt crew and directors do that. Your trying to apply hunting and range rules to a film set. It's not appropriate.
2
It's not Apples to Apples.
1
@whatchahoozie777 you can't have every actor on a film set doing this. That's what the armorer is for. Nor are most props live. The issue is having real ammo on set.
1
@1abcrr1 you can't shoot a film that way.
1
@tazman2130 Sorry, no.... that's not how film sets work.
1
@michaelward9880 prop as a term covers many different types of arms used in film. Most are not functional at all. Some just replicas. Others for blank use.
1
@joewearsadroolbib7347 that's not so.
1
@cockedandlocked9765 again real life versus a film set. You can't do a war movie or Western and have that apply.
1
@whatchahoozie777 having each individual actor what that liability is never going to happen.
1
It's a movie set. It's not the actors job.
1
@DeathBringer769 actors are not responsible for individual weapons on a film set. You're trying to apply gun range rules to film props.
1
@Jimmy McNabb there's nothing to walk free from because he's not being charged with anything.
1
@scythixx7 actually the director is in charge of the set. not the producer.
1
@lodestar9877 Not really.
1
@shaunschneeberger6301 this is becoming ridiculous.
1
@Jimmy McNabb there's no morality involved. It's an accident. Baldwin is not going to face any criminal liability.
1
@shaunschneeberger6301 mr. Baldwin is not in charge of the set.
1
@shaunschneeberger6301 I'm waiting for the roofer to finish working.
1
@isaacharrington98 which is why he was told the gun was cold.
1
@rfdsrd again, real firearm should not have been in place. A blank firing only weapon should have been use. And it's standard practice not to have live animal on a film set.But the job and legal responsibility is on the Armorer.
1
@sf9145 she's in the industry and knew what she was doing. Handling, possession, is centralized. It's not done by each individual actor on a set. That would lead to more problems.
1
@whatchahoozie777 which doesn't apply on a film prop.
1
@rfdsrd you're wrong and I've been in firearms for over 30 years.
1
@rfdsrd your opinion is noted and ignored.
1
@rfdsrd and a good day to you too.
1
@meeshmeeshelle6326 prop is a general term. There are functional and non functional.
1
@davidbuben3262 Care and maintenance and security In this case is centralized. Thus the Armorer and prop master.
