  1.  @v0id683  your assessment of the F-14 is wrong on many levels. Granted it had significant issues. But it Created a far superior aircraft to the F-4 & F-8.

  2.  @v0id683  All it was better at is being a attack plane and reducing plane types. They wanted the A-4,A-6,A-7,F-14,EA-6B And KA-6 Replaced in on bird. It's a jack of many trades. Master of none.

  7.  @PierreaSweedieCat  It had no mission or potential. The lack of need for interceptors killed the Arrow . It was never going to be a dogfighter or a multi role. IT WAS pretty, Canadian and a myth of greatness.The British have same obsessive love of the TSR2.

The Arrow, like the English Electric Lightning and the Lockheed Starfighter were narrow foucsed fighter interceptors. There was no growth there. It was never going to be the F-15 or even the F-4......
