@tyronetucker3093 A block party is not a club. That's why you have to get permits. Permission to block off the street. People's cars got to move. We've always wrapped things up by 10 p.m. on my street. 1:30 AM in the morning is too much. Even bars close at 2 a.m.

@bill9989 there's nothing normal about a block party at 2 in the morning. Every block party I've ever been at has wrapped up well before. Which is why the city has been rather tight with permits for block parties in the last few years. The fact that was a murderer on the block 2 days before kind of makes me question why they decided to go ahead with this? The events appear to be connected. I don't think this was a simple argument over a parking space or someone knocking over the chips....

@NOV123 the tinted windows thing? It's legal long as the front window is not done. At least as I recall here in Pennsylvania? But to your general point? There does seem to be kind of a hands-off attitude to a few things. Some of that is policy. Some of it is understaffing of the department. The whole Mess on I-95 with the state troopers is an example. The street takeover bunch and the dirt bike idiots need to go...
