@youtubelove5206 it's not terribly always practical in the Summertime. And off body carry for females on a 90-degree day without a cover garment makes some sense. This doesn't sound like a confrontation. But more of a targeted ambush.

@alabama2uz how many of those did you witness either? Even with video cameras, we have not not solved some of these. And homicide unit is backed up on cases as it is. Witnesses providing information is of course always helpful. And should be encouraged.

The investigators seem to be leaning in that direction. Does a targeted thing. Seeing's how they travel directly from the bar. It may be logical to assume that perhaps they had the evenings cash receipts? It is also possible there was an altercation at the bar?

@VantzCanMakeHerDantz just to clarify. Philadelphia police directive 5.27 which was updated January 26 2023. This directive covers the entire topic of license to carry and open carry. It's also available online on the Philadelphia Police Department website. But for those who wish to get the official version. I will read it verbatim. Open carry in Philadelphia A. Pennsylvania is considered and "open-carry State," with the exception of the City of Philadelphia. 1. Within Philadelphia, unlike any other part of the Commonwealth, a valid license to carry is required to either openly carry a firearm or to carry a firearm concealed. A. If a person has a valid license to carry firearm license issued within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or any reciprocating state, that person may OPENLY and VISIBLY carry a firearm in the City of Philadelphia (or concealed). Directive 5.27-9.

@kman-mi7su it is possible. But, does have its drawbacks and inconveniences. Not everyone has a one-size-fits-all method of Carry or weapon. It does require some dedication to wardrobe, Holster choice. And in many cases a smaller and lighter firearm for a day like today.. luckily there's been a lot of advances in technology for both weapons and wardrobe and carry over the last few decades.
