@ripvanwinkle2002 I think people make the mistake of a dramatic film is somehow a documentary or some sort of historical reenactment? Neither are true. And there are limitations to the use of props.
2
@Grunt_007 They are not related designs.
2
thekangarooboxer That is like saying Jackie Chan and Jet Li look alike...🙄
2
Not really. Few guns remain in as factory condition. Many were rebuilt by armorers using different parts.
2
Bren magazines are curved.
2
You don't need all that stuff be able to shoot a gun well.
2
Again you're misusing designations. The M4 is a carbine. Not a rifle.
2
1. Easy feeding. 2. Extending the range makes little sense if it has no energy left...
2
Find me a pistol in 1935 with 13 rounds?
2
People used to carry Garands and Thompsons with a lot less whining...😏
2
@vernmorris8898 Basically we agree. They have too much gear and the armor is blessing and curse.
2
@Gliese380 10 years and a different system makes Fine tune is a stretch. If any Browning should have credit, it is his son Val A. Browning. Val and Saive worked on the gun till production.
2
@haroldburrow4363 that doesn't quite answer the question why a Idaho prison has these items?
2
@Ramonatho a complete thought or sentence would be nice?
2
@brendandor ??? More random commentary that have no meaning.
2
@TheAzerty1239 I had to drill with a Garand. That was heavy enough after 20 mins....
2
@jeremyatobing3943 Argentina used the FAL.
2
If you were interested in those types of add-ons? You would probably buy a 509. They're not looking to duplicate that.
2
Prototype. In a production model they probably would have added one.
2
Perhaps if the British had spent less time playing with Concorde; they might have had a few bucks to make a decent sniper rifle. 😏
2
Well that sort of is the point of the video here. 😏
2
Entirely different design.
2
@erroneous6947 I wouldn't go quite so far as that. Guns do depreciate. I would classify them more like automobiles.
2
This is called a point, that is pointless.
2
That has nothing to do with barrel length or the lack of a stock.
2
Actually the M-1 Carbine filled the role your suggesting.
2
@thomasa5619 to be honest, defeating body armor is not that big of an issue.
2
We're not talking about sub machine guns.
2
The folding subgun! I'LL second that request. 😉
2
Taurus pt92
2
Again, you're in the mistake of not using complete designation.
2
@russellmiller9977 I kind of wish they had kept San Diego. I think they made it into like a business park or something?
2
@pctotty you know, I haven't even looked at that yearbook thing in decades? I wonder where those guys are today? 🤔
2
@bdockett Try a PPS....
2
@stopthephilosophicalzombie9017 Walther makes a great .45 acp, the PPQ.
2
Your thinking outside of the box of 1940's design.
2
Assistant to help carry the ammo.
2
So should we change the meme about Glock to... "Does it take USB plugs?" 🤔
2
@fridrekr7510 the military would disagree with you. Which is why they've decided to make changes to their weapon inventory.
2
The World's first Truck hunting gun. Not a truck gun. A gun for hunting F-150 trucks......
2
You're not using proper designation. We're talking about rifle system. The carbine is entirely different.
2
Other than Fanboy love, there's no need for it.
2
Expecting SWAT at your door?
2
No , entirely different action.
2
@akaron5498 the comedy writing needs work.
2
Influence is such a broad term.
2
@romgl4513 Maybe he is Elvis? Every film he was a boxer, deep sea diver, race car driver, etc.
2
@moritamikamikara3879 you're looking at this out of the context of the period. Technology is advancing faster than tactics. The use of repeating bolt action rifle is a still new thing.
2
@rivjoy just imagine what's going to happen with all the weapons being dumped in there for the next 30-40 years floating around? Every Tom, Dick and Harry is going to have access to this gear all over the third world very shortly.
2
I claim that is bull crap..... First, JMB never said much. 2. The man died in 1926. His prototype is nothing like the final gun. Dieudonne Saive is the true father of the P-35. 3. The Cz-75 is not a clone of the Hi-Power.
