@neoasura CCW and war are not the same.

@CaptainAhab117 The carbine was developed to replace the pistol as the default weapon for many non riflemen. Thus, the test is valid.

@texasforever6950 the carbine is a capable weapon at a distance you would often engage in combat. Very few troops actually get into shooting matches beyond 300 yards.

@foofoo3344 Uh, no..... Many troops needed it. Mortar and arty crews. Tankers, radioman, etc. They can't lug a rifle. And a pistol was a poor option.

@seanmac1793 Drop the rear area garbage. Support forces are in danger and there is no front in War today.

@war13death point is, most pistol shooters aren't hitting anything.

@fastmongrel many troops beyond officers were issued pistols over a rifle. You can't lug a mortar and a Garand.

@andrewthomas5495 The problem was these troops couldn't use a rifle. Drivers, mortar crew, machine gunner, radio man, etc. The needed to be hands free or 10 LBS was too much. So they got a pistol. The carbine was to replace the pistol; but never did.

@88porpoise You guys are off topic talking civilian use. And the . 30 carbine beats any 9mm para SMG or PCC.

@Strawberry92fs Ok, you lead the Bonzai charge.

@bavarianpotato Wrong.

@SaftonYT Nope. One hand shooting dates to the Dueling pistol days. Not until the 1950's did two hands become taught.
1
@ditzydoo4378 One hand was the standard since Dueling.
