  1.  @lorrainawhite6836  sadly, that's our situation today. It's a situation I myself do not wish to be placed in. The use of a gun is a right. But it also comes with responsibility. While the shooter may have felt a need to defend himself? Doing so on a crowded train platform with Innocent persons in the line of fire is exceedingly Reckless. And versus a non armed suspect, a little bit hard to justify. He's leaving the crime scene and destroying evidence does not help his case. Life probably would have been a lot easier just to move over on a seat or something?

  2. There's proportional use of force. A punch in the face does not jump to using a bullet automatically. And doing so on a crowded train platform with third parties in the line of fire, is exceedingly Reckless.

  3. No, what you have here is a guy who lost the fight and decided to end it by pulling a gun. Recklessly endangering countless other passengers and persons on that platform. Then decides to flee a crime scene and Destroy evidence. This smacks of exceeding what would be considered self-defense and a reasonable use of force.

  7. OUR "good" citizen has decided to flee a crime scene and Destroy evidence. The use of lethal force in this situation was at best questionable. And definitely Reckless, considering the potential to harm bystanders.

  10.  @alcosteam  "victims" don't leave the crime scene and then try to destroy forensic evidence. And opening fire on a crowded platform is still reckless endangerment. Whether the altercation required lethal force, is to be determined. What may have started off as a good shoot? Has rapidly changed into a bad one in my eyes. And that as a person who has had a CCW for years.

  11.  @RichBoy-dc2dq  a well armed Society is a polite Society. A simple, "pardon me." Or "is this seat taken?" May have been the better option for both parties. It's an EL train. You pay your fare, you get on, ride to the station of your choice. It rarely requires much more interaction. That's why we have headphones and cell phones.
