👏😏 Well played Sir.....

You'll find an electric car does not run in flood water anymore than a gas powered one.

@MannyJer23 that would be a fallacy. The Mississippi River has been flooding for millennia. Your choice of automobile has little to do with it.

@j887276 same here. Temple University School of Engineering, class of 96.

The Mississippi River floods all the time. Has done so for millennia. Has nothing to do with global warming.

You may not realize it, but that is engineering insanity. A simpler answer? Desalination. Trying to move water halfway across the country makes no sense. And trying to pump them over the Rockies? Water likes to go downhill, not up.
2
@j887276 it's not practical for the engineering standpoint for many reasons.

The Mississippi has flooded before this was even a country. And despite all the vast resources put into flood control; at some point those barriers are overcome. It has nothing to do with change in climate.
2
Well that may be a naturally simple answer, due to development ; flood zone patterns have changed over the last hundred years. Case in point , the flooding in Center City Philadelphia in 2021. What used to be 100 year flood zones have changed.

You do realize the Army Corps of Engineers has already spent billions on flood control on the Mississippi and has for well over century?

@SmartControls that's more of a concept than a plan. And not a particularly practical one.
