  1. It's a good story to hear. However, Philadelphia needs a strong private sector Workforce to fund all this. That means more jobs replacing things like the oil refineries. That means more jobs in the naval Business Center. That means job outside of the retail in hotel industry that have been suffering. Some of the biggest Employers in Philadelphia are still education and the medical sector. What's being done about Hospital consolidation? What's being done to bring Amazon warehouse type jobs? What's being done to the port of Philadelphia? The city requires a strong private tax base to fund its public-sector infrastructure.

  2. Most city jobs are pretty well-paying actually. Plus full benefits and a pension. Try and find that in the public sector.

  5.  @yvonneplant9434  🙆🏽‍♂️ Thanks... I truly just don't want this city to turn into Detroit. When the Auto industry left, the city fell apart. And with companies like Wawa and Target leaving the retail sector. And Center City office space growing vacant. We have to have something to employ a large number of people to generate taxes.

  6.  @billyjacc  it's very true. The city Workforce is pretty varied. Both white-collar and blue-collar.
