Actually stolen guns are not the biggest source right now.

@soulkitchen1979 please cite the court unconstitutional ruling...... 🤔

@bogey19018 if you can't pay $19 and pass a background check; maybe you shouldn't be packing?

@bogey19018 and in many ways I do not disagree. I support gun rights and have done so most of my life. However, with rights there needs to be a little bit of responsibility. The line between legal gun owner and Nut Job shooting up the elementary school or the post office is a thin one. Pennsylvania is hardly New Jersey or California. We have balance the needs of all. The ability to weed out loonies and criminals is not a infringement really. Mask mandates, vaccine mandates, and fences around our Capital are true issues....

@bogey19018 agreed....🤷🏽♂️

If your folks are interested? The office is 990 Spring Garden Street. Forms are on the Police website.

You can apply for a permit just like everyone else. The right to self-defense is nice. But I do not feel we need to be turning this into a free-for-all.

@soulkitchen1979 last time I looked at a Bible, it said nothing about Smith & Wesson. Not a cop.

@BigJon410 the Heller case was about ownership. As far as the right-to-carry goes? I believe there's a New York case currently under review. Please don't get the idea I'm some anti-gun guy. NRA member for over 30 years.

@mikezz751 Congress derives its power to regulate firearms in the COMMERCE CLAUSE, in Article I, Section 8, Clause 3, of the U.S. Constitution.

@mikezz751 if you have one part of the Constitution you have to accept the entire part of the Constitution. Is denying someone with a criminal record really an infringement? Is denying someone who is under 21 infringement? Is screening someone who is known to be a drug user, drunkard or having mental issues an infringement? Please don't misunderstand me, I'm not anti-gun. But some people seem to think that there's a blank check here of no rules whatsoever. That's never been so. Nor is blowing away everyone the best way to solve every societal problem. The states also have the ability to regulate under the 10th Amendment.

@mikezz751 Sadly the line between criminal and regular people is a trigger pull. As seen last week in a subway. Rights are great. But sadly many people don't follow on the responsibility part. I have supported the Second amendment my entire life. However, the gun community cannot ignore that the majority of the populace does not share the view that guns are inanimate objects or just a really interesting hobby. Politically, the problem is not Congress passing new laws. It's going to be back door efforts such as we've seen with the Sandy Hook lawsuit. The ability to bankrupt companies out of business; is going to be the real infringement on the right to bear arms.

It doesn't quite work that way in reality.
