Mines.... Always looking for a ship to hug.π€

So.... We invented a air rifle that floats? π€ͺ

Let us all pause and commemorate the end of World War 1 this day in 1918.

It is really crazy just how International this business is. Japanese owners. Indian crew. Panama registry. Cargo of cars from Germany. Burning off of the coast of the Netherlands? And probably insured by Lloyd's in London? No wonder admiralty law is its own specialty.π€―π’β

Don't even begin to start talking to them about Pay phones or a Pre Windows universe.

Armor has Pros and Cons. While protection increases. You get less Mobility, heat stress and weight increases. Being a turtle is not always the best thing for chasing bad guys.π’

π€ Meanwhile..... What is the status of the Galaxy Leader crew? We are pushing 10 months now as Hostages.

Damn, that is a year long list........... So anybody asking for a ship type, uh check the list. His plate is full. π

In regards to the question about interwar technology development. As important as radar was. I would like to make a case for the operational use underway replenishment. While there had been experiments in the past. The active use of Navies being able to refuel underway from oilers And resupply under power really grew in this time frame. The ability of ships to operate for extended periods without the need to dock in port; was critical to operating Worldwide.

Hey, I've been waiting four years for this... enjoy!

Well... Is it that hard to find candidates for the job with slice of transportation background? π€·π½ββοΈ

Rather long time out the channel. On the bright side as far as I know the bottom of the river is mostly silt and mud. Not rocks. Are there any reports that the buoys moved or something? Did have some trouble finding salt this week. Expecting snow tonight. When will we get a Update on the S.S. United States drama? They still appear to be stuck here. I think the Coast Guard claimed they were not seaworthy? Is there any buyer's remorse for the county down in Florida? I believe they're being fined for time not moved from the berth? ππ½ββοΈ And no folks, it's not always sunny here... It is today however. π

ππ½ββοΈ being in logistics is not the fast track to a O-7 π......This was a White House West Wing run operation from start to fail.π£

There was a season?

Also, could you comment on the secretary of the Navy and the reversal of the Port Chicago court-martials. A major logistical disaster which occurred 80 years ago yesterday.

Maritime credentials out of West Virginia? That makes a lot of sense......

What about news Baltimore going to court to stop the MV Dali crew going home on Thursday?

This is a complicated situation. It seems to be based on what Putin has as goal. They have always been a sub based Navy. They have no foreign ports other than Syria. Cuba is off the radar. The Pacific is a afterthought. You don't need a carrier in the Baltic or Black Sea. My advice? No go...

Am I understanding correctly this vessel has no tow cable/ comms cable? This a free assent type thing? How many trips has it made prior to the wreck?

Seems rather a pricey program for off the shelf tech?

Strange McLean never became a household name? He should be as famous as a Steve Jobs or Bill Gates. But, metal boxes are not sexy...π

They don't use steam anymore.

π€Speaking of Windfarms...... there's been a lot of controversy in New Jersey the last few months over those things. Half seems to be people trying to blame them for problems with whales. The other half seems to be people from Shore towns who don't want Tourists looking at Giant wind turbines from the boardwalks.

It's not misleading at all. You're just making an assumption.

Did I see a guy packing an FN 2000? π€

It is international water. It doesn't belong to them.

Watching this channel has made me realize; that this whole industry is interconnected and complex. Everybody has a different owner. Everybody flies a different flag. Everybody has a crew from all over the place. The insurance and the shipping company itself is someplace else. And the banks financing all this are all over the place.π€·π½ββοΈ

ππ½ββοΈHave you touched on the Battleship Texas saga? Where is it going to go now the deal with Galveston is dead?

Β @DrachinifelΒ On further review, the guns in question are M 1917 Lewis guns. These were made for USN and USMC service by Savage arms and are in caliber .30-06 Gov't. The M 1917 is basically the same as the earlier and more common Model 1913 and 1916 Built in the UK by BSA in the .303 service round. So basically Lewis guns in different calibers per nationality.

Smell the salty sea spray of Calgary? ππ’

Any news about the Ex Soviet Carrier π₯ in Shanghai? It looks like the Minsk has lost most of its superstructure.

Northrop Grumman should be asked to submit a updated YF-23. Stealthy, clean sheet design, internal weapons bays and lacks Boeing's fiscal issues.
2
It is noteworthy there are a few television and radio stations just a few blocks from the river.

Thing is in warp speed...π’

Military sealift command already has issues. They are taking ships out of service because of lack of crew. The Navy not only has a crew problem, they have a maintenance problem. We decommissioned 4 Cruisers this Summer. Most of them have not put the sea in over 10 years.
2
How much armor is getting hit by cannon really? 30mm is a waste on troops and soft targets. Bombs and missiles are killing tanks. Not gun runs.

π¨π½βπ» I'm going to go with man of his era. I don't think he's particularly different than the majority of British of his time.

Not sure if they'll be available in my lifetime; but in the next 50 years? It's doable. They seem to make more sense than building traditional tanks. Same firepower with less manpower. And better terrain coverage, but with less speed. Only question is power source? Could you build a compact reactor without a water source? Liquid sodium perhaps?
2
Major problem with that one. There are no nuclear trained Coast Guard people.

You need to dress more Gangster. Not in shorts.
