Comments by "peabase" (@peabase) on "How Russia's media is scorning 'the Olympics of Hell' after athlete ban | BBC News" video.
@jimmielin1141 That doesn't appear to be a logical conclusion. A logical conclusion is that if you want to participate in the Olympics, you should not wage an illegal war of aggression.

The television ratings worldwide suggest you're rather alone with your opinion.

"The entire internet" as in you and a smattering of other malcontents in a YouTube comment section? The TV ratings suggest something else altogether.

@frankjames7272 No it isn't. Educate yourself.

@kestutisi Not to mention the soaring TV ratings. The global audience is thrilled.

@Mike7064 OK, Ivan. I understand you're smarting something terrible.

@olivka7560 It's not that complicated if you adopt a factual approach. The OSCE had a special monitoring mission in the Donbas that operated there from 2014 to 2022. There were 700 monitors from 57 countries -- including Russia -- with round-the-clock access to the whole region. No targeting of civilians by Ukraine was reported by any of the monitors, Russians included. You're regurgitating fully-debunked allegations that have no basis in truth.

Interestingly, the Olympic Truce from ancient Greek times was revived by the UN General Assembly in 1993. You can tell yourself that it's not politics that saw Russia excluded from the Paris Olympics, but a clear rule violation. Russia is, after all, waging an illegal war of aggression in Ukraine.
