I used to have lunch with a friend, a sephardic Jew, at his favourite restaurant, a streetside restaurant owned by Iranians. No animosity whatsoever, even though we all knew of one another's ethnicity.

And neither do the other ethnic groups in Singapore vis-à-vis one another, including the Chinese and Indians. The Singaporean authorities will clamp down on anything that threatens racial harmony, even if it conflicts with what some of us perceive as freedom of speech.
