John Sedwick Patriots with a fascist streak?

Abominable Snowman Authoritarian right, far-right populist -- to-may-to, to-mah-to. I've been following the trials and tribulations of the True Finns, who're definitely right-wing populists. Exceptionally, they made it into government as part of a three-party coalition. Interestingly, they've been crushed by the burden of power. Political power and populism mix like oil and water.

So on June 23, 2016, fascists voted down a fascist organisation. That makes no sense.

+John Sedwick You're still making precious little sense. Fascism is right-wing and authoritarian. If you're looking for a moniker for left-wing authoritarianism, try communism.

+John Sedwick You're trying to rewrite political history. I'm going out on a limb here, but I think you're one of those alt-right types who desperately try to disassociate themselves from the latent fascism that you nonetheless espouse.

John Sedwick The Nazis' definition of socialism as in national socialism was completely at odds with what Karl Marx had in mind when he coined the term. As a case in point, the Nazis rejected Marxist socialism in no uncertain terms. Mein Kampf drones on and on about it. Let me guess, next you're going to claim that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is democratic. The name says so!

+John Sedwick Not sure where you're going with this. Do you want me to confirm that Nazism is authoritarian and undemocratic? No problem, it's both.

+Abominable Snowman What you fail to understand is that while the far-right populists in these countries may gather ground, they still have to form a coalition government with other parties. More often than not, they can't find willing coalition partners. Belgium is a case in point -- their 'cordon sanitaire' held the Flemish far-right at bay for years. Also, it's not unheard of that a party emerges victorious and is still frustrated in its attempts to form a government.
