RasenganXSpirit I won't go as far as claiming that Putin is gay (whether he is or isn't is irrelevant), but what's sure is that he has become a gay icon, or more precisely, the image of him riding a horse shirtless has. The gay community in the West made him so, in retaliation to Russia's homophobic laws. Poetic justice?

***** You're in la-la land. The EU has already imposed sanctions on Russia. And as to siding with the US, Europe is siding with whoever upholds international law, and that happens, in this case, to be the USA. The Ukrainian Crisis is no more caused by the US as it is by the EU. Another la-la land fabrication, that.

***** Oh dear, you suffer from not one but three serious afflictions: ignorance, arrogance and poor English. The EU formally announced sanctions on 17 March, 23 March and 29 April, more or less in sync with similar sanctions from the US. If the European Parliament is unelected, I wonder why I'm to vote for new MEPs in three weeks' time. It pays to check facts -- even Goebbels realised that clear lies demolish one's credibility.

@trappedinamerica7740 Norway has a centre-leftist/centrist coalition government, dominated by the social democrats. I don't think the Norwegians will appreciate being called socialists, not in the way you understand its meaning. It's just that with their oil wealth, the Norwegians can afford to keep the social democrats in power for longer periods than the other Scandinavian countries, which have to vote in a centre-right government more often to save up some money in anticipation of the next spendthrift social-democratic government. Fun fact: NATO has Jens Stoltenberg, a member and former PM of the Norwegian Labour Party as its secretary general. I guess that makes the alliance socialist in your book.

No, your imaginary sky friend won't, but Labour will.

@davidreed3357 You have the burden of proof, I'm afraid. We've been waiting for eons.
1
@davidreed3357 I'm afraid this is how it works. I'm facing the same predicament with my early childhood favourites, Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. They don't exist till their existence has been disproven. So the onus is on you to prove that your sky friend is real.

That's OK. Irish reunification isn't far off.
1
That's great coping. You should hold pep talks to the disillusioned Tories.
1
@brianmcintyre503 Not really. Rather, the centre has moved rightward. The far left is practically obliterated.

I bet that Trump is daring his enfant terribles to make Nazi salutes in public. Musk and Bannon needed little encouragement.
1
Of course they did. Even winning by forfeiture is a win.

It's legal immigration, at least temporarily, after newly-arrived migrants apply for asylum. Only when they abscond after been denied asylum, they become illegals. It's all relative, but Britain offers the best living and working conditions for illegals in Europe. That's why it's a favourite destination of theirs.

How to replace zany conspiracy theorists with sane people, that is the question.
1
@levanmikadze4748 You conspiracy theorists have such a high opinion of yourselves. Alas, that opinion is never shared by a sufficient number of voters, who could otherwise elevate your sort to positions of real power. You're not winning people over with your stale clichés, I'm afraid.
1
@levanmikadze4748 Don't flatter yourself. Astronomers and philosophers were never called conspiracy theorists. On the other hand, conspiracy theorists were -- and are -- called madmen and *liars.
1
@levanmikadze4748 You're making it all up, like conspiracy theorists are known to do. Since you brought it up, one of my masters is in history. I guess your ilk needs to be extremely selective about facts, which is incompatile with earning a degree in any academic field. Come to think of it, theology and religious studies may be the exception that proves the rule.

@jaygilley2223 It always amazes me that your Republicans think that democracy and republic are mutually exclusive political systems.

What are you talking about? 14 years ago, when there was a Labour cabinet, there was no migrant crisis.
