  1. The NLAW has been in production since 2009 only. It has a magnetic sensor in addition to an optical one, so no, flares won't throw it off.

  3.  @47ALTAIR47  You're comparing apples and oranges. The weight of your Kornet-M is five times that of the NLAW and it needs a crew of two to operate, whereas the NLAW gets away with one. Besides, a 8 km range is excessive when targeting MBTs. In an anti-ship role such a range makes sense, but not otherwise.
