  2. There's a sound reason why Kaja Kallas got picked to represent the EU on foreign affairs and security and not smiley-boy professor-president Stubb and his three things.

  5. I'm Finnish and I think we could've done much better with presidential runner-up Pekka Haavisto, who's much more accomplished in governance and international affairs. Stubb was a placeholder PM for a few short years, and demoted come next election. His party soon cast him aside, and he resigned as both finance minister and MP, ending his relatively brief career in Finnish day-to-day politics. Haavisto's problem was that he's openly gay and represents a party -- the Greens -- who're in decline. If you're looking for determined leadership in these transformational times, Kaja Kallas is your woman.

To bend it from a spool of wire for you, you couldn't produce a single argument why you think the world of Stubb. I had a whole list. Give it try, like I luuurve Stubb because... he smiles a lot? See, smiling is an argument why Stubb could be perceived as a competent leader... well, in your book.
