@VolsSlimJimmy Sure, they believe Putin is a 4D chessmaster, but in fact he's the pigeon in pigeon chess.

@TreyMax By my calculations Russia is ahead in withdrawals. Vietnam War, 1-0. Soviet-Afghan War, 1-1. First Chechen War, 1-2. War in Afghanistan, 2-2. Syrian Civil War, 2-3. Russia is losing... it.

@GoreTexTillEndEx Emojis always remind me of the little stickers I would get on my paper when I got my sums right in second grade. It's less cute that our resident Krembots still find them cute.

@CarlWheatley-wi2cl Maybe Russia will cut a deal to move its military bases to Libya, but it's not another kettle fish, but rather, a very similar one. Interestingly, Turkey is backing a Libyan faction that is opposed to Russia's favoured faction. History may not repeat itself, but I bet it will rhyme.

@TreyMax Where did I get it wrong? You just managed a non-argument.

@ClaudiaMitchell-r9s Whoosh. FYI, it's better to come second than first in military withdrawals. Russia sucks more, in other words.

@anjusreemaity6647 What about "you [sic] carrier groups... barking"? Firstly, I'm not American and secondly, was that English? I don't speak Indian English. In Africa, NATO co-operates with the African Union and the UN in crisis prevention and management. In practice, it meant providing logistical services to AU peacekeepers as part of AMISOM in Somalia and combatting piracy off the Horn of Africa. At present, NATO has no ongoing operations in Africa. Could it be that you're confusing NATO with strictly US and French endeavours in Africa? There appears to be a lot of confusion about NATO's role in conflicts. As a case in point, your lot often claims the Iraq War was a NATO op, although it was anything but.
