  1. In 1944, the Soviets tried to force a breakthrough in Finland with extreme numerical superiority, but the results were only marginal. The country, which is ambush country per se, doesn't lend itself to manoeuvres involving massive troop numbers. Now even more than then, Finnish artillery would ground the Russians troops to a pulp.

  4.  @visitante-pc5zc  Socialism? Neither will give up their welfare states, if that's what you mean. Any right-wing government -- and there have been many -- that tries to do so will be relegated to the opposition come next election.

  5.  @LRRPFco52  Don't talk nonsense. Only parliamentary ratification in Hungary and Turkey is outstanding. Orban is wary of Putin cutting off his gas and Turkey wants F-16s from the US. Even NATO has its black sheep.
