@zimagorec Russia may have no public debt, but its ability to take on public debt is minimal, if not non-existent. You trolls will never get this public debt thing right. Having or not having public debt is no indication of prosperity, or the lack of it. By its own admission, Russia's tax income from oil and gas -- its biggest source of income -- has fallen 43% from last year. To keep afloat, the government has to "borrow" from the national wealth fund. This means that Russians' pensions are literally going up in smoke in Ukraine. What are they going to do when they reach retirement age, nibble on some cheap rockets?

@zimagorec I would be an amateur if I believed the fanciful economic data that Russia is feeding the IMF. The Russian economy is on terminal life support -- you just don't know it yet. It will be an encore of the Soviet economy suddenly crashing and burning, which was followed by the Soviet Union itself crashing and burning. And yet again, we're expected to bail you out. This time, we'll make sure we're not helping to bring another monster into this world.
